Tutorial - How do I convert DVD to AVI?
Hi there friends! These days, many users keep asking me about how
to convert video DVDs to AVI format.
Maybe you are one of the users who are still confused. In this tutorial,
I will teach you step by step to convert DVD to AVI.
The only two things you'll need:
- The video DVD disc you want to convert from DVD to AVI.
- A DVD to AVI Converter.
Now, let's get started.
Step 1. Download and run DVD to AVI Converter
Click here to download DVD to AVI Converter and install it.While DVDs are high quality and you can rip them to your PC, they do have drawbacks, such as large file sizes(4-9 Gigabytes per movie) and obscure file-naming. By ripping a DVD to an AVI file, you benefit from small & portable file sizes and your own file naming. Also, the files can be used for video editing. All Free DVD to AVI Converter, supports various video DVDs, is designed to quickly and easily rip/convert almost all types of DVD movies and MTVs to AVI format. Download, install & launch All Free DVD to AVI Converter now to try the simplest DVD to AVI Converter ever.
Insert a DVD-Video into your disc drive & double-click the icon to launch the program.
Step 2. Load DVD disc
Click "Load DVD" or "Load DVD Folder" according to your needs.
Tip: Usually you insert the DVD-Video disc before clicking "Load DVD", but if you insert the CD after clicking "Load DVD", sometimes you may not find the disc in the "Select DVD Device" menu - use "Load DVD Folder" to find the Video Folder to load or instead, simply restart the program.
Step 3. Choose what to rip
Check the listed titles and choose chapter & audio track/subtitle to rip (Video deinterlacing is provided if required).
Tip: If you need no sound or subtitle in the ripped video, just select "Disable" respectively in the "Audio Track" & "Subtitle" dropdown list. A hint to language learners here: the Audio Track & Subtitle don't have to be in the same language, which means you can have English subtitle while hearing Spanish, and vice versa.
Step 4. Start ripping
Choose output folder (click "Browse..."), output format and output quality (click "Video - To AVI" & select a preset from "Presets" dropdown menu). Click "Start" and wait until the process is finished.
Tip: DVD-Video conversion usually takes much time, especially those Blu-Ray ones. Although we make all our efforts to shorten the progress, if you find the time it may cost you unacceptable or you don't mind a slight decrease in quality, it is suggested to choose a comparatively small format/quality.
